Cannelini Bean Yam Hummus

This is the Cannelini Bean Yam Hummus from Vive le Vegan.
I knew this was going to be good even before I made it. I’ve already tried Dreena’s Creamy hummus–it was the best hummus I’ve ever had. This is so different, but sooo delicious. It’s a little sweet and a little spicy. This is definitely the hummus you want to use as a spread for wraps and sandwiches.
I can’t wait to make this for a party and have everyone say, “What IS this?! It’s soooo good!”
Thanks for another winner, Dreena!
Top of the Mornin’ to Ya!

These are the Chocolate-Chocolate Chip pancakes from Vegan w/ a Vengeance. They were really good, but super sweet (as expected). I loved them, but some people might think they are a little much.
I decided not to make the Blueberry Maple Syrup from Vive le Vegan because adding maple syrup to these pancakes would have been sugar overload! I should tell you instead of cocoa powder I used Mocha Hot Chocolate mix and instead of plain old white flour, I used white whole wheat flour.
Sorry about the picture quality not being so good. My boyfriend usually takes the pics for me, but he’s not here today. Maybe I’ll ask him to edit it when he gets back.
Coming Soon…
Here’s a list of meals to look forward to on my blog… (note: this list was inspired by vegancore’s list!)
1) Chocolate Chip Pancakes from VwaV w/
2) Blueberry Maple Syrup from my *favorite* cookbook Vive le Vegan
3) Cannelini Bean Yam Hummus from Vive le Vegan
4) Celebrity Adzuki Bean & Rice Cakes (except-I am going to use black beans-it’s what I have at the house) from (need you ask?) Vive le Vegan
These are all recipes I have not tried before, so this weekend should be fun!
Muffins=Good times

So, I made these awile ago and they were yummy! They are the Carrot Raisin Muffins from Vegan w/ a Vengeance. I was planning on freezing some and eating some…but, not-a- one made it to the freezer!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here’s 2 silly jokes for V-day~they remind me of little kids who have high hopes & don’t worry so much like the rest of the world does!
Q. What did the boy squirrel say to the girl squirrel on Valentine’s Day?
I’m nuts about you!
Q. What did the girl squirrel say to the boy squirrel on Valentine’s Day?
You’re nuts so bad yourself!
Sweets for My Sweet!

These cupcakes are the Heavenly Coconut Cupcakes from Vegan w/ a Vengeance. I take credit, however, for the pink/red/white sprinkes! They were delicious…the perfect treat for my sweetie!
Hi y’all!
Ok, so probably nobody is looking at this but me…but that’s aok! I’ve decided to start a blog for myself since I’m obsessed w/ all the other veggie blogs!
I picked the name A Sweet and Sour Life because (1) Sweet & sour reminds me of food and this blog will have lots of food stuff (2) Life is sometimes sweet and sometimes sucks…I mean it’s sour.
Well…Thanks for visiting..
